Anca Bulgaru,
M.D.
Originally from Romania, Dr. Bulgaru attended Carol Davila University,
School of Medicine, in Bucharest, graduating with honors in internal
medicine, neurology and oncology. After completing a transitional
internship at St. Mary’s Hospital, she started a residency
in Radiation Therapy at the Institute of Oncology in Bucharest.
After moving to the United States, Dr. Bulgaru completed her
residency in Internal Medicine at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt
Hospital Center, University Hospital of Columbia University College
of Physicians and Surgeons in New York.
Dr. Bulgaru completed her fellowship training in Hematology/Oncology
at Montefiore Medical Center, University Hospital of Albert Einstein
College of Medicine, in Bronx, N.Y., where she was appointed
Chief Fellow. While at Montefiore, she was involved in designing
and conducting clinical research trials on new and existing medications.
Dr. Bulgaru is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology
and Medical Oncology. She speaks English, Romanian and is fluent
in Medical Spanish. Dr. Bulgaru joined ECHO Associates in September,
2003.
