Dinesh Kapur, MD
A native of India, Dr. Kapur graduated with high honors from
the Armed Forces Medical College in Pune, India. He completed
his residency in internal medicine at Safdarjang Hospital in
New Delhi and at G.T.B. Hospital in Delhi.
Dr. Kapur is the Medical Director of Oncology at The
William W. Backus Hospital
in Norwich, CT where he is also an Attending Physician in Hematology,
Oncology and Internal Medicine. In addition, he is the Director
of Clinical Research at ECHO Associates.
Dr. Kapur was Attending Physician, Hematology/Oncology at Saint
Francis Hospital and Medical Center in Hartford, CT as well as
acting as Co-Director of Anticoagulation Services. Dr. Kapur
is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at the University
of Connecticut Health Center.
As his special interest, Dr. Kapur is actively involved in clinical
research with Colorectal Cancer, supportive care and technology
integration in cancer research. He has been instrumental in implementing
many new and promising clinical trials at ECHO.
Dr. Kapur is board certified in Internal Medicine, Medial Oncology
and Hematology.
